Just installed new rings rod brngs head gasket, head checked out OK ,did not tamper with injector mechanicals.Installed water pump,"Hoye Tractor," temp and oil pressure gauge.Radiator new.30-40psi oil pressure @190 temp.No unusual smoke runs great except the annoying skip. Doesn't have regular pattern just happens sometime under load or just idleing.Have checked fuel lines for cracks.Any ideas?

Still sounds like air getting in the fuel sytem. I would check the fuel lines from the tank to the injectors. I had this problem on my Ford tractor once and it took some time to find the problem. It was one conector at the injector, the rubber seal went bad and air was getting into the system. The heat from the motor would dry the fuel, so it took a very cold day in January to find where fuel was leaking out. It was not much, but gave me the same problem that you are having.

I know that with mine if I do not take the time to bleed out all the air from the pump that it will miss a bit for the longest time until it finally works out that last little bit of air. That is probably what happened to you. there was a bit of air left in the pump and when it finally got worked out--presto full power.

Happy tractoring!
