Yanmar 1610d

I have a 1610d and the front diff housing directly under the engine is broken. My question is can the axle tubes be removed from the housing without dis assembling the outer gears (at the wheels). I do not yet have a parts book as i just bought the tractor. Any help would be great. Thanks
