I have a Yanmar YM 1500D. I ran it out of fuel some time ago. I bought a new tractor so this one has been sitting. I thought there was a vapor lock but I cracked the lines open from the fuel bowl all the way to the end of the lines. There was fuel coming from the lines into the engine so I am assuming the air is out of the lines but it still will not start. I had someone tighten the lines back as I continued to turn the engine over. It seems to have good compression and suction when I place my hand over the hole where the air filter covers. I am trying to sell the tractor but kinda hard to sell when it will not start.... Any suggestions? I am definately not a diesel mechanic so I am just trying what I have read online.
