my 1500 blew a head gasket and put some water in the crankcase. i think i caught it before any damage was done, but here's my question.
the old gasket was damaged in 2 seperate places, so i didn't look any further for a problem. i put a new head gasket on, ran it approx 30min. all looked good. the oil looked clean, no trouble. the next day i ran it again about 20 min. and it poured water in the crankcase. i pulled the head again, looked closer to the head and top of the block. i noticed that when at TDC the piston sleeve is about .006 above the top of the block. it that normal?? when the piston is at TDC it is another .006 above the piston sleeve.
i took the head to the mach shop, it was warped and they are milling it.
anything else i should look for???
Help.
