yanmar 1301d fluid leaking in front end

Recently used my 1301 d and heard a grinding noise and fluid leaking from what it looks like the front drive shaft where the rubber boot is. The fluid looks to be gear oil or trans oil. How hard is it to take this apart? Is there a universal joint there? It's all new to me. Does anyone out there have a diagram or parts manual for the front end? Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to TBN. I am sorry that you are having problems. Is the tractor recently purchased and therefore has a guarantee? If so you ought to check with the seller first.

There are many dealers which can help you with parts and manuals. Wayne at LMTC and Aaron at Hoye are 2 such dealers, but there are others also. Hoye has an online parts breakdown for the 1300D including the front drive. I have attached that diagram for you, but you can find the whole tractor on their site.

Thanks MJ for the parts blow up. It has helped.
I am having a problem removing the king pin from the assembly, there is a key at the top but it looks like it was welded on the pin instead of fitted into a slot is this normal for a 1301d or do you think someone had it apart before me?

Keys are NEVER welded in except by someone not wanting or not able to fix something right. Yep It has been apart before by someone that bandaided it to get it running--probably then sold it--to you or someone else.
That is really too bad, 'cause the parts in the front drive can be expensive or nigh impossible to find.
