LS XR3037C
67 hrs.jpg

Turned 67 hours tonight while tilling the garden for Garlic. Thought i would pop in for a review. Over all i am VERY pleased with the tractor. It has made me a lot of money already. Here is a breakdown of what i have done.

Installed new speakers and stereo.
Added tie downs to the front frame.
Raised the seat base 2" (HUGE COMFORT DIFFERENCE!!!)
Welded tow hooks to the bucket.
Replace a defective wiper motor on the windshield, LS shipped it to me direct.
7 hours into my second oil change.

Fuel consumption since new is right at .72 GPH, most of that running a 6' bush hog. Tractor has gobs of power! Love that aspect! Steering is still a bit goofy and you have to pay close attention if you look behind you as when you turn back around your going where you don't want to go. Transmission has broken in well and is VERY smooth now compared to new. No regrets on the gear drive especially as hilly as my terrain is. 23* a week ago and she cranked right up! Still need to install a block heater for the dead of winter. All in all i would DEFINITELY recommend this tractor. I am glad i didn't go with the 4046 as it would be too big for many of the mowing jobs i do. This tractor has cut almost 75 acres since i got it but a lot of the lots are tight with low trees so the smaller tractor shines. I also believe the turbo makes a difference at my altitude.

My only current complaint is the parking brake is pretty much worthless. Was loading my dump trailer earlier with just a slight angle and set the brake with the loader over the edge of the trailer and when i climbed on the trailer the tractor rolled back about 10 feet. (slight incline) To get it to stay in place with the parking brake on you nearly have to break the handle pulling so hard and yes i have tried both pushing on the brake pedal and not while pulling the lever. Not quite sure what is wrong there. Anyways happy tractoring folks!

You know I may have to look into the seat raising. I feel like I sit to low and mines a hydro, I think I would be more comfortable. But the only thing is I will have to find a way to raise the steering wheel. It needs to be raise now cause I feel like its to close to my lap. So I would have to extend it 3 times the amount that I raise the seat. I feel if the wheel was raise 2 to 3 inches now it would be better.
