XR3032 vs G3033 Worth the $$

As mentioned in another thread I was at the local LS dealer over the weekend and I had a really good time/experience. They had one of the new XR3032's there and I was quite impressed with the feel and features of it (remember I am a complete noob so I am easily impressed ). I went there thinking hihg HP J series but it is a little small for what I want. The XR3032 or XR3037 (if the $$ difference isn't much) look like a reaal winner. My question is the dealer said that for the difference in price the XR was worth if when compared to the G Series of similar size. HArd for me to pull out the differences in a spec. sheet and he didn't have any G series. What are your thoughts? IS the XR worth the extra $$. The XR3032 was quoted to me @ ~20K w/FEL... he suggested that the GSeries would be ~16-17K. Does that seem right>

RNGr, I can't answer your question, but I'm looking strongly at a G3033H myself. I just noticed the XR3032 has cruise control. I'm not sure if the G3033H does or not. I need to check into that as I have other garden tractors that do, and it's a feature I use a lot.

Let us know how it turns out. I was unaware of another option for the 33 HP area until now. Things keep changing quickly with LS.

Surf on over to the LS website and you will be able to compare specs. First important difference between these two tractors that I noticed is the loader lift capacity:

G3033 - 1600#
XR3032 - 2182#

Both spec's quoted from LS website.

I was basically in the same position as you last summer. I liked the G series pricing, but the extras of the R (now XR) were worth it in my mind. I am enjoying an R3039H now.:thumbsup:

R series have synchronized gears. I love my R3039.

I have a G3033H and love it. Got it for 15 with FEL. Its used for general around the property for maintenance. I did find a rock it could not pickup but mostly is good. What are your tasks for the tractor?

Austennn10, on your G3033H, do you know of a cruise control type of apparatus on your tractor? I forgot to check that out when I last saw one up close.

Brush hogging 5-6 acres, till/plw/??? 1-2 acres. The tilling will actually be sections of the fenced in 2 acre plot meaning I will temporally fence off a smaller area (~500-600 ft square) till it up and re-plant hay/grass/??? for our KuneKune pigs. Repeat as needed in the other areas. Food plots here and there would be another task as well as some wood hauling and general farm stuff. Oh and maybe some snow removal. I just don't want to spend/buy more than what I will use or need.
