xj2025 first oil and tranny oil chg?? help

OK looks llike at 50 hrs I should be chg the engine oil and filter and also the hydro oil and filters...does this really need doing at 50 hrs...I only have 30 hrs right now...any tips on good place to buy filters and what oils to use??

My manual for my R3039H specified an engine oil and filter change and only the hydraulic and hydro filters at 50 hours. Full hydraulic oil change is at 300 hours (IIRC).

This is pretty standard. Gets rid of the assembly chaff.

So I assume the hydro and hydralic share the same sump?? There is only one dipstickk correct??...so I sshould do the engine oil and filter,hyd filter and hydro filter??

Yes, you are correct. My 4041H manual says engine oil & filter and 2 hydro filters @ 50 & 300 hours. Trans/hydro fluid replacement not until 600 hours. I did mine at 50, 150, & 300 hours. Hydraulic fluid is still very clean (305 hrs now) not planning to change hydro/Trans fluid until recommended time (600 hrs).
Not sure about the smaller tractors.

Be sure to check the LS oil & filter thread before you change the hydraulic filter. The shop-vac method really works great and will save you from having a big mess!!!

If your manual tells you something different then follow the manual. I'd be surprised though if it specified a hydraulic oil change at 50 hours.

Bought my filters from my local LS dealer. He has been good to me and I'd like to help to keep him around so he can continue to employ and support several local families.

OK the dealer just told me ALL oils and filters at 50 hrs..engine, hydro/hydr. And front axle, air and fuel filters....this seems crazy!!

OK talked to Ricky at LS...just the 3 filters and engine oil...now the 2 hydro filters..just spin off and back on with new?? Won't lose much oil?

Just curious, what does the manual for your tractor say about the 50 hour service interval?
