You might want to do a "search" on the site for these tractors.

I've seen a few posts, but it seems like the JD dealers are steering some customers to the 2210 series because the price is basically the same and the 2210 seems much more capable. I've also seen some posts from owners who seem to like the X series.

What are you planning on doing with the tractor? How much land do you have? What tasks do you expect it accomplish? If you fill out your profile we might be able to give you some advice.

Thanks for the response. I have a bx2200 with 180 hours on it and can trade even for a x595 with a 62 inch deck . dont need a 3 point or power take off . 595 is a year newer and has less hours. bx is hurting my bum leg when i use it to long a period of time , on the forward and reverse pedal. Nice tractor , but I need something that wont kill me to run . Hows the 595 record or history of no problems? Thanks

I have a two year old X595 with the 62" mower with about 200 hours. I am impressed with the tractor.

Other than being a little ugly looking at it from the front I think the JD engineeers did a nice job. The only problems I've had is with the tilt steering mechanism when it locked into one position and I couldn't move it, the mower height control adjusting knob wouldn't hold the mower in position, and an eratic performing fuel guage. The tilt steering problem and the mower height adjustment problems were fixed under warranty. The eratic fuel guage problem still continues.

I complained about the noisy mower gearbox and John Deere provided the noise isolation kit. I trust this is included with all mower decks produced in the last year.

I wasn't sure how often I would use the 4 wheel drive feature but found I use it frequently. I have the heavy duty all purpose tires (gator tires) but they still slip especially if I'm mowing after the dew has formed. Just slip into 4 wheel drive and away you go.

This is good tractor. Now, if they just could have fired the team that designed the appearance from the front of the tractor this would be the perfect premium garden tractor.

Today I took a ride on the 595, and its a nice machine ! much more quiet then my bx2200 , and the mower deck is also alot quieter ! Its seems faster and turns inside the bx. Yes the hood could have a little more design, but its all they got right now . The dealer is doing all the fluid changes and a couple of adjustments , and putting a new deck belt on it . In other words giving it a good once over . So back to green I go . Thanks for the responses .

The eratic fuel guage problem still continues.
Mine's been replaced once under warranty, and still says FULL all the time /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I gave up fighting with it and just keep an eye on the fuel level.

I LIKE the way the front end looks. Got a couple of those "suitcase" type weights and hung 'em on the front - it's a mean, green, mowin' machine!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
