X540 Seat

I just bought a new X540, I had a X740 but sold it(long story). I really like the X540 and works well for what I need to do.

The only thing that I really like better on the X740 was the seat. I upgraded to the deluxe seat and it worked much better for me.

My question is, can I buy the X700 series deluxe seat and install it on my X540? If not, are there aftermarket seats that are similar that would fit it.

Yes you can put that seat on your X540. I have one on my X500.

I assume your talking about the air ride seat with arm rests, yes it will fit. I'm wondering how good these seats are? They certainly are expensive.

I'm still curious on how much better the $595.00 optional seat is with the $135.00 kit needed to install it? Has anyone changed out their Standard Seat on an X700? It still seems pretty expensive, but interesting.

Is that a new 2011 x540? If so then I like that seat better than any other seat I've seen.... But maybe I never saw this seat you are talking about. 600 dollars?

That seat is a high dollar seat. Every John Deere seat I have ever seen have a tendency to split between the bottom and the back. I have a X530 with the 2 part cushion seat which is impossible to split. The high-back and arm rests look good but I feel eventually that seat will split and like I said that is a high-dollar-seat
