X520 how much in the states ?

hi all, i am considering buying a x520 ride on mower here in Australia, the current "special" price on these here is $9700.00 AUD, and i think that is overpriced since the exchange rates now are near 1:1, can some one please give me an idea on what price these are in the states currently ?

secondly is the transmission on these fitted with a spin on filter ? and are there any faults showing up with this model overthere?

Value added tax. Apparently you call it a Goods and Services Tax. I was just curious as to the price differences between the US and Australia. $3000 seemed expensive for transport, etc.

yes i agree 3k is a lot, i think most are making the best of exchange rates to rip us off, i would buy one today if it was 3k less, you would think they would sell more if they passed on the full amount, i know they have paid more for stock on hand though.
