Haven't been on here for ages. Looking for some advice, recently got a 2007 X300R for free. It has 689 hours, starts and runs fine. Mower/PTO function works. However it doesn't go into forward or reverse. I've made sure the rod that allows the machine to be free wheeled is pushed inward. But pushing or pulling the rod makes no difference. It's still being able to roll freely. Lifted it up and I see the linkage working properly. Pedal linkage looks like its working as well. Has this K46 seen better days?

Probably. Have you tried draining it? Yes, it CAN be done, but means removing the transaxle and inverting it.
When you find yourself in a situation where a transmission doesn't drive, you eliminate the external items first. On yours you would need to verify that the belt is turning the transmission drive pulley and that each rear wheel is keyed to the shaft . Beyond that, these transmission pulleys are typically splined and lock to the input shaft of the transmission. Should the spline be worn in the pulley , the pulley spins but the shaft does not spin enough to drive.
You were right. I was fiddling with it this morning and found out that the belt somehow slipped off.
