My dad changed his transmission filters in his X1100C kubota the other day and now it has no get up and go like it use too. It acts like its slipping and never locks in in no matter how much juice you give it. Also when going down a hill he says it kinda freewheels instead of being held back by the engine. The only thing he did was change the filters in the transmission, not the fluid. The fluid is slightly over full he said. I'm going down this weekend to help him on it and need a place to start. It almost seems like it could have air in the system but I dont see how. I'd have thought itd self bleed. It has about 5000 miles on it. I don't recall the reason he only changed the filters but it was working fine prior to this.

Did he use the same brand filters and udt as before? If so maybe the coast relief valve or engine braking valve is acting up or got a bad filter. It should be a self bleeding system. I think the WSM shows how to adjust it. We have a 900 that the brake stops you before you let off the gas completely at the camp and haven’t had time to fix it. Maybe someone else with more knowledge can point you in a better direction.
