Anyone here ever deal with this operation? Would like to hear about your experience, be it good or bad. They have a couple YM1500s as well as a hinomoto E14D that are in my price range that I'd like to go check out. I was all set up to procure a YM1510 from Wayne, but the loan didn't go through (although I *might* have found out why and I'm going to attempt to correct the problem if indeed it was what I think it is), thus forcing me to set my sights a little lower. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Looks like Vietnamese recons. I would keep looking. The hour meter only shows 50 hours. Kind of looks like a fly by night operation. YOu will probably get no support either.

Huh? The two units that I'm considering on their site show 640 and 140 hours and don't look as though they've been recon'd at all. That being said, I haven't been picking up good vibes from this, outfit AND I found out what was wrong with the loan app and got approved! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif So back to dealing w/the good Mr Foreman again. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Stay tuned.....

michigandon,
Glad to hear you are able to deal with Wayne. I think you'll be happier than dealing with the other dealer. AND you'll probably get a better tractor.

All I can say is that at least Wayne knows the horsepower of the equipment he sells.. It is almost like you don’t have to deceive the buyer to sell tractors........ Out of the box Wayne!!

Buck

Does this keep me on the A list?? :)

( Does this keep me on the A list?? ) Actually, Jerry is still on it. I just had to rib him about the "probably" because he is typically one of our best ads. He knows how we do business, and isn't afraid to tell people (thanks, Jerry).

I know you know this Buck, but guys like us, the honest dealers, work harder to overcome the nonsense some sellers in this market put out than we do to overcome anything ever put out by new tractor dealers.

Re: www.ustrading.net

That is where I purchased my tractor. I had a few issues, nothing major as far as I'm concerned. Others might not have been okay with the process.

I dealt directly with the owner. He labels himself a distribution yard. I can attest that not a single tractor on site was a re-build (I seen at least 35-40 tractors). He said he generally sells them to guys who will give them a once-over then sell to private individuals. He is a big importer as far as I can tell, he has a bunch of stuff up there: Yanmar dirt equipment, tractors, loaders, etc..., and also a few other businesses right next door.

I have not advertised my deal nor spoken much about where I got it for fear of all the booing and hissing that seems to take place if you don't buy from one of the guys on here. I was ready to buy from one of them also, I just found what, IN MY OPINION, was a better tractor for almost the same money. That doesn't mean I think the other tractors aren't any good, just that the one I bought appealed to me a bit more is all.

And in my case the HP advertised was right on. Even though my GL-21 has the number 21 in the name that doesn't mean it is 21 HP at the PTO. I have D1403 engine in mine as near as I can tell and Kubota advertises that as a 28-29 HP engine. When converted to Kilowatts that equals 21. I know that a lot of gray tractors are rated at the PTO, maybe even in HP, but mine wasn't as far as I can tell.

Anyway, you can PM if you want.

In all fairness, I would buy from Wayne or Buck, no hesitation. I don't dislike either of them. They were both very honest and helpful. If you can work out the financing and Wayne has what you want I'd say go for it, not that what I say matters though.

Good luck!

Re: www.ustrading.net

Well, I'm buying a 1510 from Wayne, BUT...I also bought a Continental Belton KTR-54 mower from these guys that they listed on eBay as well as on their website. It was a satisfactory transaction. Nice enough guy, but he did admit to me that he's more of a "wholesaler" than he is a "dealer". I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one of the tractors in their inventory IF I was a little bit more knowledgeable about the product. Most of the units I saw there appeared to have honest hour meters but had been sitting out in the weather a bit too long for my liking. I did take a close look (and sat on) a 1510D whilst I was there, so I managed to get kind of a sneak preview of what I'll hopefully be receiving soon. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
