I tried buying one last year, could not find used and the wait time was crazy from woodland mills.

I ended up with a baumalite from Shop Green Dealer. Free shipping, no tax and a 10% off discount using TTWT discount code.

It paid for itself in one weekend. Crazy how fast I can grind out stumps.

I like it very well but by the time I paid import tax, storage and shipping I still paid $2000 but I did get the extra bits.

Update: More digging into the Woodland Mills WG24 PTO stump grinder informs me that my tractor's transmission and this stump grinder are not compatible. The preferred transmission hydro-static and mine is manual. This stump grinder requires the tractor to move slowly forward while running at full PTO speed and grinding. That would cause my clutch to wear out prematurely. I'm a little embarrassed that I had not recognized this earlier. At least I had not purchased one of these fine stump grinders.

For my type of transmission, I need a stump grinder that grinds side-to-side. This way, the tractor is not moving while grinding at PTO speed. I found the Woods TSG50 stump grinder requires 15 to 50 HP to work properly. I'm sure the higher end is better, but I'm at least in the top half with my tractor's HP rating. If I pace myself while grinding and not forcing agressive grinds, Woods technicians say I will be fine and happy with the results. Of course this type of stump grinder is about twice the cost of the Woodland Mills WG24. Ugh. That is why finding a TSG50 that has been used lightly is my best option. Has anyone at TractorByNet used the TSG50? What was that like? Does anyone know of a good, used TSG50 for sale?
