I have narrowed my new tractor pool down to a Branson 20 series. Trying to decide between a cab and tractor and open station. Would like to hear how your cab is holding up and how well the air conditioner works.
Would like to hear from cabbed Branson owners.

Hello Helitech. I recently purchased my new Branson 5825ch. I must say I was not disappointed. The cab has many great benefits for me as we are located in quite a warm area where air conditioning is almost a must. The air conditioner is more than adequate in keeping the cab cool and keeps the dust out. If I wish I can always open the windows for fresh air. Generally the build of the cab is very good and user friendly. I enjoy using my tractor no matter what the weather conditions, especially as I can listen to music without the exterior noise taking over.

Great cabs on all the Bransons. AT least the newer ones, don't know how the older ones are but I run a 4520C and the A/C has been great, I've been out in over 100 degree weather and hasn't been an issue, plenty cold inside and usually have to turn it way down. Heat is also great in these. Noise levels are decent, at least you can listen to radio without blowing your ears out. This tractor has over 100 hours on it and cab is as solid as new no issues whatsoever. Great Cabs..

I have a 2007 6539c after having a JD 4230 (100 hp) with a sound guard cab, 1979 vintage which was very quiet for a 400 cu in engine and all the gear train and all. Lot of plastic and vinyl in the Branson so sound just bounces around. Ear plugs or muffs are preferred by me to save what hearing I have left. Course now that I got my gear whine to disappear it's much quieter at PTO rpm.
My cab has an internal rear view mirror plus 2 side mirrors. I can watch traffic behind me when on the road without having to mess with my outside mirrors which I have setup to watch my implement.
Windshield washers with soap and wipers front and rear.
Peep hole so that you can see the draw bar hole with the windows closed when attaching a drag implement.
Doors have a "door ajar" latch that allows you to latch them with about a 2" gap at the front for air circulation when not running the AC. Roof vent and rear glass open for ventilation.
The cutout for my roof vent helps me to get my 6'5 frame in the high back air seat (built in compressor in the seat) without hitting my head.
My tractor has the radiator, then the AC condenser coil, then the hydraulic oil cooler plus a screen to catch the chaff prior to radiator entry. A lot of heat up there. I like to keep my needle at or below mid scale and to do that I have to run without the screen in place and keep the fins clean....course you ought to be doing that anyway on really hot days when i am working the machine pretty good, like rolling hay.
The heater has a manual flow shutoff valve like some cars used to have so that there is no possibility of hot water going through the heater when you want to use your AC.
I have 5 vents 3 of which are positioned such that they do a good job of defrosting the front and side windows if you adjust them for that.
Floor is flat, no hump. Tilt and telescoping steering wheel.
Excellent egress and ingress with short step and door frame hand holds.
Only thing I am not sure about is the ventilation. There are inlet vents and filters over them at the front of the cab just under the top in front of the windshield. On my JD the exit vents were on the side at the top rear just under the top like the inlet was at the front. I can't find the exit vents on my cab, but they must be some as I can smell fresh cut grass when I'm doing my hay and if the cab were sealed, bar the inlet vents, there wouldn't be any circulation and I wouldn't be smelling grass clippings.
Visibility is excellent.
My top and fenders are gel coated fiber glass (like you make fiberglass boats), not plastic. You would be hard pressed to tear up either. Like all gel coats, if you leave them out in the sun they will fade.
Guess that sums it up.

If you are talking about me among others, I failed to report of the quality of cooling. Does a good job but when you get out in the sun for a long time and are working hard, especially baling hay in the sun and heat, you get a lot of radiation into the cab.....like you would with all cabbed tractors unless you do something like put reflective film on the doors and windows which I considered.
However, an easier solution is to take a short break, pull up under a tree to the water hose, with the engine running, run over the radiator, ac condenser, and hyd oil filter coils for a few minutes to blow the dust out and drop the ambient temp. Shoot the cab, especially the top. Mine is red and is not insulated The AC unit is over my head, under the red outer FG cover When you crawl back into the cab you will be pleasantly surprised.

Parts availability is great. I think the biggest problem is dealer network, branson needs more dealers out there. If you have a good dealer close by consider yourself blessed. Most Parts are readily available.
