1965 Massey Ferguson 135
I have a 1965 Massey Ferguson 135 with the Continental 4cyl gas engine. It is pretty much in original configuration and is in good shape. I use it quite often throughout the year. But, I am thinking about selling it to upgrade to a newer tractor. How do I find out what a fair market price is for the tractor? It seems they are all over the place, as far as price, when I look them up. This would be a great tractor to restore for a restoration buff, but I don't have the time to do it. Thank you for your suggestions!! The attached picture is from when I bought it, but it doesn't look much different today.

The ones I see online are mostly dealers that have them, probably took them on trade in or been sitting on them a while and the price is all over the place.

Realistically, I would guess around $2,500. Probably not that big of a demand for one being a 1965 model and gas.

On Machinerypete.com their are 11 listed for sale with asking prices from $2900 dollars up to $6800 dollars to give you an idea.

Up here (because Massey's are rare), it's value is scrap price but down where you are probably a lot more.

look at craigslist and FB marketplace for similar size/age/hp/condition -ANY brand - and go from there.

no loader will hurt some. MF will help some, especiallly if you have a dealer not too distant.

it's worth what you can get for it...so pick a price and see if it sells...sells to the first caller, you were too low. LOL
If it takes 10 callers to get a sale you might be OK.

Friend is selling a Farmall H, good condition, some options, asking $850. Older than yours and no 3-pt (he says you can get them for $400, it has hydraulics, 12v update, lights).

So would that be similar to yours? (in capability?)

I sold a kubota L175 with 1400 hours a year ago w/ mower deck for $2700. I bought it the year before - needing work - for $750, added a ROPS ($100), got the deck working, general maintenance.

SO...$800 to $2500 is my range estimate.

2k maybe. find out weight and see if scrap price is worth more potentially. But might be worth trading see what you get plus the tax break from trading.

8N’s go for $2000 all day long, and the MF135 is a better tractor. I’d ask $3000+

this type MF is really popular here in North Alabama- my neighbor has 3 of them running and another for parts. He says $2500 easily, start ask at $3,000

around here 2500 to 4500 depending on condition/tires/engine/etc.......

That is about the same as here. If it were a diesel it would be higher. I would ask $3500 and see where it goes. It does have spin-outs and decent tin on it so MF buyers will be reasonably happy to find it.
