During rain events worms crawl into my garage. They die and cause a mess. So many came in during the last rain, they are starting to stink. It becomes a pain in the rear cleaning them out after each rain. These are regular old earthworms/red worms/fishing worms or whatever you call them in your neck of the woods.

Is there some deterrent that will discourage them from this behavior? Maybe spraying something along the bottom of the garage door seal area?

They are just trying to find higher ground to avoid drowning in the waterlogged soil.

Is there gravel or concrete in front of your garage door? If gravel, maybe you could redirect the water and keep them father away from the garage door.

My son would be out there everytime picking them up to go fishing in our pond

Get a few birds to live in the garage and make them have babies. The mothers go out every morning to get the babies worms. I saw this one time a mother bird flying to the nest near my Pappys garage and feed the babies worms. Have you considered this method?

Try a sting of salt?.:)

No don't do that. My mom said that can cause radon in your garage and could kill you. Plus it's a mess

Lay some fish by the door. When the worms see this they will surely go the other way.

Maybe a sprinkling of diatomaceous earth just inside the overhead door? That would stop them and make them easier to sweep probably due to drying.

I have had little red wigglers climbing 4 feet up the trim around the garage door a couple times this spring. They all die when the sun hits them of course.

Or maybe flood the garage and just have a pond in there. Geez, I ask for help and all the comedians come out. Just my luck!

Sorry, I pictured fake owls in my head with pigeons roosting on them when I read it. Hard to resist sometimes. I am actually thinking about your problem though. Does water stand near the door? Does it have much of a concrete apron?
