Worked it hard Today

My son has 16 acres that I started bush hogging today to get ready for winter. Did it in the spring, but even without much rain the brush grows again.

Picture #1 is of the brush I was cutting.

Picture #2 is some of it that has been cut

Picture #3 is some Alabama Kudzoo, cleaned a lot of it up. It is on a small stream that runs thru his property.

Picture #4 shows his yard around his house that I keep mowed with lawn mower, then around that is a couple of acres that I keep mowed with finish mower, then the other that I bush hog twice a year. Keeps a man busy.

Eddie looks like you work hard today. I know you use to do some big farming . Are you doing any now.

Haven't done any real farming in a many years. Got to where a person can't make any money small farming. The most I farmed was 400 acres soybeans. Too much at the mercy of Mother Nature.

They say that the 2 cylinder Yanmars use less fuel than a 3 cylinder, but I just finished bush hogging 16 acres of weeds and brush as tall as the canopy on the tractor and used 6.96 gallons of diesel. That's pretty dog gone good fuel economy. I've had tractors that seemed to take that much to start them.
