My shop space is rather limited so I fabricated a work bench over my tractor bucket? It works great for projects, and also makes a decent serving table and place to sit around for a cold one.

Nice! Also a good operator competency test. That first control input after you start the tractor better be correct and precise.

My terramite's blade is nested about an inch from squishy sheet metal parts of my baler, and terramites could not be described as "refined" in terms of control. I always sit and meditate for about 15 seconds before firing it up...lol.

I like the shallow spray can shelf, may have to do that on my next shop reorganization...

I actually left six inches of clearance on each side and three inches above so entry and exit is pretty forgiving. I also designed it so I can raise the bucket four inches and lift the bench level for moving outside the shop when the weather is too nice to be inside. The vise is a blue Kobalt from Lowe's but my better half convinced me to paint it Kubota orange. I added a bungee cord to keep the spray cans in place for when moving the table around or making 'adjustments' with the vise and a large hammer.

Great job! Being able to pick it up and move it outside on a nice day is a big plus.

JC, Your indoor/outdoor workbench is really nice. Above is one I made mostly from scrap lumber. It's right outside the garage door and quite handy.001.JPG
