I've got the same mower (although it's badged as a Frontier). As far as the height of the cut, I think it's fine.
However, this really depends on one's own perception of what looks good. One downside to these larger mowers is, if your ground is uneven, the length and width of the mower can scalp a rise or span a small depressed area.
You can change the cutting height though. The procedure is described in your manual (page 11 or 12, IIRC). The cut can be set as high as 5.5".
