Woods PRD7200 not enough height adjustment?

Does anyone else feel that even when the Woods PRD7200 is set at max height it still mows too close?

I've got the same mower (although it's badged as a Frontier). As far as the height of the cut, I think it's fine.
However, this really depends on one's own perception of what looks good. One downside to these larger mowers is, if your ground is uneven, the length and width of the mower can scalp a rise or span a small depressed area.

You can change the cutting height though. The procedure is described in your manual (page 11 or 12, IIRC). The cut can be set as high as 5.5".

I run mine as high as possible utilizing the height adjusting shims provided...
I don't know the exact height but I do know that it is north of 4" or so...
Measure the length of your adjustment wheel shafts...
For some reason unknown to me perhaps Woods used a shorter shaft on yours than on mine or Roy's...
I have used the highest setting since getting my mower and it does excellent...

I run mine about middle ways, but I want it to mow bermudagrass lawn at 2.25-2.5 inches. Most "lawn grasses" should be mowed within a 2 to 4 inch height. Mowing pasture grasses?

Well...it's 'field grass' in western WA...all I know is it's green with clover mixed in. I hear the higher the cut the better water retention. I'll have to measure next visit and see what the manual says when I go to the cabin, but it just seems low compared to the Kioti 72 in it's replacing. I'll compare to the 5.5" posted here and see if the mfrg changed something. It isn't just one spot but I only have the smallest shim ABOVE the caster shafts and it's cutting lower than the Kioti that had a bunch of adjustment remaining. My mind says no where near 5.5" but we'll see...
