Hmm, my wife received a call from the tractor dealer that I should not (under any circumstances) use my brush cutter until the blades "or something" (my wife's interpretation - no comments please) were replaced. So, I've a Woods BB600, basically a "medium duty" (the "heavy duty" must be for commercial tree farming) 60" brush cutter that weighs over 1000 lbs and has annihilated anything it's come in contact with. The blades weigh 4-5 lbs each, and the spindle rpm is about 15,300 with an engine speed around 2600. If one of those blades came off ---"oops" might not be sufficient a comment - such could put a hole in a brick wall, wipe out a tractor tire, take off someone's foot, etc. Anyone have an idea as to the mechanical reason for the recall by Woods (my tractor dealer doesn't know), and how long it takes Woods to send the repair parts? I've waited 2 weeks for replacement of whatever the culprit is, and my field is getting a bit overgrown.
