Wondering what kind of feedback (both positive and negative)I can get from you Blue owners who may have installed the new Woods BH90 backhoe on their Class 3 Tractors? What do you think of the fit ,performance and ease of installation? Thanks in advance............tractorman

I purchase a BH80-X last August for my NH TC55DA......got it home, in the first 5-10 minutes I was totally disgusted with it......no digging power, acted like a toy.....I took it back the next day and they monkeyed with it and never got it fixed to my satisfaction so I ordered the BH90 and it's been a world of difference!!! I've been totally happy with it so far but I'm going to work it hard this summer and i can tell you more after April. I think something was just wrong with the 80 from the factory......i really think the 80 was too little for my tractor as well. My 90 will jerk my tractor around though and it does a great job. Hooking up and unhooking shouldn't be much at all after I do it a few more times......Just learning how to get the correct angles to line up the 2 holes for the bolts on the subframe is the biggest challenge. The new boom styling is sweet!!

P.S. I did think it was strange that I blew a couple of hoses on it though within a couple of days of each other.....hummmm, maybe I had a relief valve sticking but it hasn't done it again since then.....keepin my fingers crossed on that.

Thanks for the feedback. One of my areas of concern was with the hoses. I am weighing my options as far as what I will be ordering for spring. The superior hose routing and hose quality on the Bradco backhoes vs. the better styling and mounts on the Woods.

We originally had just a 16LA and the Woods BH90-X on our TC40DA and then added a rear remote for a grapple addition to the 16LA. Our BH90-X was originally installed without the QD hose kit. When disconnecting the BH we had one short hyd line from the BH to remove at the cover plate where your remote valve will be added and the longer hose disconnected farther forward under the right side of the tractor. Once the longer BH hose was disconnected, the tractor side of that connection had to be reconnected to the tractor to complete the "closed loop" hyd flow.

When we added a remote valve we also needed to install a hose kit for the BH. That hose kit included a cover plate that had two hyd ports on the cover plate that allowed the BH to QD completely at the rear of the tractor, and allowed the previous "forward connection" to be permanently connected to the tractor.

This is probably confusing, initially (it was to me), and I needed to trace the lines for myself to understand it. The tractor's hyd flow completes it travel through the BH. The BH hose kit allowed me to simply remove the BH and plug the two QDs together to allow the tractor's hyd flow to be continuous.

As far as using the BH90-X. I LOVE IT! :D It's powerful and does everything I've ever wanted it to do. It'll lift the tractor easily to "walk" the trench. I also love the hyd thumb we added to the BH. It takes rocks and stumps out in quick order.

highlighted is the correct cover plate outside the rear remote. This cover plate allows the BH pressure and return lines to connect directly to the tractor and not interfere with either the rear remote or FEL.

Enjoy! :D
