I have a couple of things I'd like to ask. I have to replace my stump jumper that has been on the mower since new, which is about 12 years old. I havn't even looked at it yet but it needs to go. Is it easier to just cut it off with torch? Also I tried but I can't get the PTO shaft off. I removed the snap ring and shear bolt, but won't come off. It moves back and forth about 3/4" but something seems to be catching it and I don't want to force it in case I am missing something. Could the shaft be buggered up just enough to stop it from coming off? Thanks for any advice.

To get a stubborn stump jumper off, I have drilled and tapped a hole on each side of the center shaft to accept a puller. When done, just grease up 2 short bolts to plug the holes and keep them rust free for the next time.
