Anyone out there using a Woods BW12? This is a 12 ft batwing made for compact and utility tractors. I know nothing about any of their products so please share your experience.

My experience was with a 15’ Woods Batwing.
The paint came off it in 2 years.

I traded it for a Deere CX-15 12 years ago and the Deere paint still looks very good.

I’ve owned 4 wood’s rotary mowers. 2-3pth 6’ BrushBulls,1-3 pth 7’ BrushBull, 1–15’ Medium Duty Batwing. All good mowers, they have 6 year gear box warranty’s and the best blade change out system going in my opinion. I’ve beat them hard and have no complaints with anything…. I’ve run other brands like deer and landpride also they were ok also. The deer was overpriced. But I bought it anyway….

I think what you pay for on the Deere is a superior paint job and their “dual deck” system. Others offer dual decks, but Deere was the only one when I bought mine.
Keeps the mower looking better for many more years.

The first few times I mowed heavy brush with my Woods mower, I noticed the upward dimples in the paint. Then the paint would crack and rust in those spots.

The Deere dual deck (or any other with a dual deck) and Deere’s quality paint job is worth every penny.

My woods mowers have held up well for the years. However, my decals on my woods mowers have not. The branding and model numbers on my newest curled up and left within a year. My Kubota ZTR had the same issue. No decals left on it either.

If I wash the equipment, I don't use a pressure washer or chemicals.

Not sure what the issue is with decals, but the paint is still good on both.

The only problem with Deere is being able to find the mower in tall grass....... Ha!

My Deere does a good job mowing… I’ve mowed some very heavy fields of filth… lots of 3-4” trees. The paint and decals are I guess ok .. but I don’t really give 2 s…. about that kind of issue. 1 complaint I have is they use cheap steel for their blades in my opinion. I have better luck with woods blades as far as I’m concerned. I’ve been a strong JD man for ever but since have changed my thoughts. They are not much if any better than the other major brands. They think they are ! They love their name and like their paint! I’ve had several issues with their tractors and equipment over the years… no more for me! Just my 0.02 CT’s. I’m

I like the fact that the Deere looks great when I roll up to a customer’s property. No rust, paint & decals looks fine after 10 years.
My Woods looked beat up after a few years.

I’ve had no issues with the blades. Cut many rocks with them, too. lol
I hear the Woods blade removal system is really cool on the newer Woods models.
I just sharpen my blades on the mower with a 7” electric grinder.

My Bush Hog dealer told me Bush Hog has a dual deck now.
