Does anyone know about the woods 1050 backhoe. I know it digs 10 and a half feet deep. I have a kubota Mx5000 dt. which is a little bigger than a 4610 but now quite as big as a M 4900. Is this too much backhoe for this tractor.

I looked up your tractor and your at the bottom of the HP range that Woods recomends for the 1050. HP is not the issue its the wieght and strength of the tractor itself. The hoes weight is 53% of your what your tractor weighs. Tractor #3560, hoe #1891, then add a #100 or more to that with a large bucket. If you go with a PTO version it wieghs more due to the pump, tank etc..
You have a loader and its weight adds to the tractor total and provides a ballast. So that 53% number can be reduced some.

It will probably work ok but pushing the limits. I'd also see what the mfg says. The 9000 would not be an issue.

The nice thing about a big hoe is the reach. It's very nice to have the extra boom length for almost any job. Whether a 1050 is a little too big for your MX5000 is more a function of the topography of your place. If you have a lot of hillside and sloped ground, you will not appreciate the extra weight when moving around. If your place has more flat going. the slightly over-sized hoe will be ok. I think the 5000 is plenty rugged enough - it's a question of agility on slopes. My 2 cents.
