I just bought an ultra low hrs, John Deere 4200 4wd compact tractor and I want to mount a Woods 1012 loader that came off a Ford 1720.
The loader has a joystick controlling two spool valves and was plumbed into the 1720 w/three hoses - a power beyond connection.
The John Deere has no external hydraulic ports and is equipped only with a hydraulic manifold block with a pressure/flow test port.
I've asked Woods about simply cutting and welding a tee into the pressure tube and fabricating a return back into reservoir. They say it may damage the Hyd. pump and they only offered this model loader for the 4200 to use the two spool John Deere selective control valve, which is no longer offered as a kit. To buy it by the individual parts is around $2,000.00 and is simply out of reality.
John Deere offers a single spool scv, but it's priced out of budget as well.
I could plumb into the test port (the JD tech manual says it's a PB flow, but there's no spool or check valve in the manifold block) and dump return into tractor housing at rear. That would only make a only a two line system, too.
Anybody got ideas or sources of an economical solution to making this hookup?
