What is your experience with a Woodmaxx SB48 3 point hitch, cat 1 snow blower? On paper this looks like a good fit, at a reasonable price for my Kubota B1750HST D. The price is reasonable and the units look like they are well made. Thanks for your advice and comments in advance!

I don't own one, but I have a friend that has a WoodMaxx that he uses on his Kubota b2650. I'm not sure of the exact width. He has nothing but good things to say about it.

Thanks for the info RSR. I have a 200' inclined part of my driveway and a 100' flat. I've been blowing with a walk behind and hope the Woodmaxx will make it a lot easier. If it is a relaible brand, it should be a good fit!

Thanks airbiscuit. I haven't completed reading the entire thread, 21 pages, but I've read several pages and see the same thought process in using regarding the Woodmaxx versus other brands in the thread. I'll read all of them at least once and maybe again to catch all the nuances. At this point the Woodmaxx still looks like a good machine at a reasonable price. It really helps and thanks again airbiscuit!

Not knowing the pto hp of your tractor, it seems that will be a big thing to know about what size blower it will handle.. You may want to go to the Kubota forum with specific issues..

We have a Buhler 50" on a 54" wide foot print tractor.. Not a big issue.. With 25 pto hp the amounts of snow we get at a time will make for slow going at times.. That is OK as it doesn't have to be a perfect surface the first pass.. Our blower is a used unit, that appeared little used.. Trying to say it was a lot cheaper than many other options.. A good clean up, lube, and adjustments has made it very useful..

Thanks for the help Wyobuckaroo. Good advice. I appreciate your input and experience. My Rear PTO operates at 16.5 hp which limits my options, but the Woodmaxx SB48 is within that range. There are other brands and models that will operate at that hp, but the Woodmaxx seems to fit my budget, snow conditions and operating surfaces.

I actually just purchased this blower, and got it all put together a couple weeks ago. I will be running it on a JD 2305, which is about 18hp at the PTO. I have not played in the snow with it yet, but we are supposed to get 5-8" tonight, so I may be using it very soon! As far as quality, everything seems very well made, and assembly was easy. The only issue I found was when I tried to flip the cutting edge over for use on my gravel driveway. One of the bolt holes in the edge had bunged up threads on the underside, so I could not get the bolt started through to install from the other side. I ended up just leaving the edge in the normal position, and raised it up a bit with the adjustable skid shoes.

I will post an update for you once I run it.
