WOODLAND MILLS WC68 CHIPPER HYDRAULIC PUMP TYPE

WOODLAND MILLS WC68 WOOD CHIPPER.
Does anybody know the type or gpm of the hydraulic pump they use on chipper. I'm looking to upgrade it but would like to know size of it without haveing to take it off chipper.
There is no marking on it except HOS. Thats the only thing I can see on it. Part No. JB-T7041-2006 description 10 mL/r Flat key shaft

10ml/r is the size.

If the chipper is running you could measure the rpm with a contact tach or calculate it from the PTO rpm and pulley sizes.

What are you looking for in an upgrade?

I’m curious what you’re planning to upgrade?
I’m sure a call to Woodland and they’d tell you the size of the pump.
As it’s only driving the infeed roller, I’m trying to see what could be improved. About the only complaint I could have is the flow control for the infeed speed is (I’m just making these numbers up) say a 15gpm flow control but the pump must be 3-5gpm....so it’s hard to fine tune the speed and anything over 1/2 setting is wide open speed. Ish. But really it hardly matters.

My Woodmaxx 8H had a 20gpm flow control valve and according to the manufacturer the pump puts out 3 gpm at operating speed.
I replace the valve with a 4 gpm model to get better feed speed control

I've done a bit of research on PTO driven chippers and want to buy the WoodMaxx 8M but according to their website they are out of stock. Can't even find one on ebay.

Yes, you are right. 8H is the variable speed. That's the one I want. I was looking at the Woodland WC68 but the Woodmax cutting wheel is twice the weight of the Woodland. (200 vs 100 lbs)
