Chipper Wood chipper @ 540 or 960 RPM

OK, I have a BX42 that I run on a Kubota B2620. ...I think I will try it the next time I have it mounted.

Might want to take note of something...on my B2320 at least, the PTO will not operate at the 960 RPM setting with the seat tilted forward. Only the 540 RPM position will work that way.

If yours works the same as mine, then you can use the seat belt to hold the seat down and that will allow stationary operation at 960 RPM. I assume they did this because at the 960 RPM setting the mid PTO is running at 2500 RPM, which could be unsafe if you have a mid mower or snowblower and you are off the tractor.

I was at my shop today and the decal with Mr. Twisty on my chipper says "540 RPM". I had to go to town too so stopped by the dealer and every Chipper they had on the lot said 540 RPM ONLY so even more emphatic than the decal on mine. Seems like you can order these chippers to run at higher RPM but I stand by my previous thought that the website information is poorly worded. Don't run at the higher RPM unless your chipper says on it that it will run at that RPM.
