Wisconsin AGND motor.

Hello gentlemen,

I'm not sure if this the appropriate forum for this so if not admins please move to whichever you feel is appropriate.

A friend of mine gave me this motor recently as partial payment for some backhoe work I did for her. I have not had the chance to do anything with it besides bring it home. It does turn over freely, the transmission does appear to shift in and out easily and the gas tank appears to be relatively clean. I realize some things will have to be done before I attempt to try and start it and so I really don't need advice on that. However my questions are the following;

-What is it worth?
-What were these normally used to power?
-Out of the tons of websites with parts for these, who do you all recommend to get parts from if needed?
-Once cleaned up, restored and running, what would you do with it?

No, as far as I can tell just one direction. Direct drive with the crank and neutral.

I recall seeing one of those used to power an grain elevator many years ago. The problem with them for that application was the risk of dust and chaff getting on the exhaust and starting a fire.

Mortar mixers was a good use for them.

Good engines. The valves had a tendency to stick open when not used often.
