I am wanting to wire two or three work lights on my JD 1070. I have done a few small home wiring projects, but haven't attempted any projects this ambitious on my tractor. Where do I start? Is this an easy DIY kind of thing? Any help will be greatly appreciated. And yes, I'll post pics after I get it done....because one thing I have learned, as far as us TBN'ers are concerned, if I don't post a pic - it didn't happen.

Not a real hard project. Just go slow, measure twice etc. You will need a test light or meter to find a power source with the key on or do like I did and wire it from the battery straight with a fuse. Use good connections and tape all the joints. Try to keep the wires tight to the machine so they dont get caught on stuff. Have fun.

There's been a few recent threads on this subject, so try a TBN search. Use "add work lights" as your search query.
Here's one good one:

I have a thread on installing a 12 volt outlet (http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/john-deere-owning-operating/217876-adding-12volt-outlet.html) that also addresses some of your questions.

It's not that difficult a job...and you dont need to be an electrician.
