Does anyone have a wiring diagram or can scan one that includes the PTO switch circuit? I was putting in a 3rd function on my new tractor (yes, new) and it would start yesterday but will not start today and is giving me the "PTO on" error as the only reason. I have searched through everything I touched and cannot find the source, so I need to start tracing wires. I must have disturbed or damaged something, but darned if I can tell what, and the tractor is blocking my driveway now, dead. I had the trim piece out over the right fender where the 3pt and FEL controls are (where the PTO switch is) but didn't mess with the PTO circuit at all. Yesterday with the PTO switch completely unplugged it worked fine. Now it won't work with or without the switch installed. I need to start tracing wires but have no idea where these go, and there is no way to follow them through the wiring loom.

If you need an email address to send it, just PM me, and I'll shoot it to you.

HELP!

:smiley_aafz:

Edit: Found it - a wire got snagged when I was pulling the new wire and that did it. Now I just have to get to it to fix it...

Glad you found the problem. It's frustrating when your working on something and create a problem, I seem to be good at that.

But remember Messicks has most of the parts diagrams online, free, emailed usually within about 20 minutes.

Dave I'm glad you got it worked out. Sorry I wasn't home to get the wiring info for you. Took the wife to the city for a bit of shopping and a meal. That needs to be done as well

For anyone wanting to look up parts Kubota Canada has them on their web site now.

Yeah they have all the parts diagrams, but no schematics or wiring diagrams online. I really needed a wiring schematic to save me some time. The problem was very hard to see and I ended up taking the seat and pan out to get access. Scratched up the interior in the process :smiley_aafz: The seat is bleepin heavy! Once I finally saw it, it took a while to get to it, and then repair it. 2 wires got mangled and broken (for the PTO switch) and a couple others had insulation scuffed, so I taped those up and soldered in a couple pieces to fix the broken wires. All back to normal now.

I am used to things going wrong and just fixing them, but this one had me panicked - brand new tractor, and I couldn't find the problem. Cost me most of the day, too.

Thanks for the help Paul!

Hey we've all had days like that my friend. I knew what you were going through. As they say " been there, done that". I know how heavy those seats are to. Try putting an air ride in that puppy. I took mine out and lifted the air ride in and out five or six times and the air ride wasn't light. I had foam tapped on the inner parts of the cab... Oh the memories.

There's a bit of a lesson everyone needs to learn here though. When ever you purchase a new piece of equipment and your going through the options and implement list make sure you include a factory parts and service manual.

No matter what I purchase in equipment if the company can't provide those two items they don't get to sell me the item. Yes it might add a few hundred to the final cost but it will pay for itself the first time you use it.
