Wiring Diagram For Ingersoll Rand P160WJD

I am attempting to repair a harness that fried the wire going to and from the alternator to the starter. I have a purple wire in addition I think it had a diode in it. This is what the wiring diagram written on the machine says but not sure.

I am requesting a better wiring diagram and information about this diode. Where and what it is so I can replace it.

I need to know what is the diode and what is the other color wire for alternator.
