Winter Storm Blows in New JD 3320

In late November after about 17 months of research, reading lots of posts and getting some good suggestions via PM's I ordered a new JD 3320

Initially the unit was to have arrived late December, however, time passed and eventually all the parts and pieces came together. Went to the JD Store after lunch to go over things in the shop and then they popped everything on a float truck for delivery. By this time it was storming pretty good, so didn't bother with any outdoor pics. Took a couple in the shed while the snow was melting off.

Decided to take the MMM off - took about 5 - 10 minutes which wasn't too bad for a first try. Then went out to play in the snow with the FEL for a while. Tractor and FEL work great, but I suspect I'll probably go with some sort of Front or Loader Mount blade by next winter. Didn't dig any holes yet.

Here's the set-up:

JD 3320 eHydro, R3 Turf's, Mid PTO, Dual Mid & Single Rear SCV
300CX FEL, 61" MB, Hood Guard, Ballast Box, I-Match
447 Backhoe, 13" Bucket, Power Beyond
72" 7 - Iron MMM

Used mine on 10" of snow today with the JD 72" loader mounted snow blade. I love my tractor more and more every time I use it. I am over 200 hours now!!

BTW that 447 is the cats meow. Would love to own one someday.

Congratulations on a great lookin' tractor! You should have lot's of hours of play 'er work ahead of you!

Don't know how much snow you get over the course of the winter but I've discovered that I need to pile and pile and then pile some more with the FEL bucket.

So, the rear blade and front bucket combo is the gear of choice for dealin' with a whole season of snow for me.

Thanks. Most of the time we do not get that much snow at once - not sure of total accumulation. I have a 60" front power angle blade on smaller tractor and I might be able to adapt it for the 3320, other wise I'll probably look at a 72" Front Loader Mount Blade.

Sometimes being a "PackRat" has advantages. That furniture went from the Family Room to the Basement and then to my shed. My dog knows it's really his couch now - instead of lying on the cold concrete floor. As you may know PackRats rarely throw anything out because.............."you never know when you might need it"

Removed the Backhoe today by exactly following procedures in the owner's manual. The operation is relatively straight forward and doesn't take long - would be quicker after a few times. The manual has the Stabilizer Arms in the up position and uses the Rockshaft arms to raise / lower the Hoe in order to remove two L-Pins. At the JD Store when they demo'd removal (if I recall correctly) the Stabilizer Arms were used to fine tune the position of the Hoe and seemed to make it much easier to take the weight off those two pins.

As some others have posted it will take longer to mount / remount the 3 PTH than the Hoe.

Removal of the FEL (excluding disconnecting the lines) probably takes less than a minute - especially if one is not reading the manual at the same time.
