Will the Delux Brush Guard from a 3x20 fit a 4x20?

Will the Deluxe Brush Guard from a 3x20 fit a 4x20? When you build the two on-line, they have the same order code?

If I can save my Deluxe brush guard I can get a tooth bar that I think will be more useful!

Looking at this logically.... Same Order Code would lead me to belive they are the same, secondly I know for sure the hoods are the same between the two series so that backs up the order code thing... If you want to be absouletly sure, head on over to JD Parts, but I'd bet they are the same.

I trust you Dave.... I did not know the hoods were the same. I was guessing that the 4x20 ones were longer. I know the width cannot be that far off since they use the same quick tach holes as its little brother.....

Yeah looks can be decieving, I didnt believe it at first but the PN on the hood and related accessories (lights, grill, etc) are identical for both.
The hood is even "cast" with markings of where to cut for the vertical exhaust for both the 3x and 4x

That's how a company can save money in the manufacturing process - if the "widget" will fit several different models across product lines - costs per unit goes down.

Woulda' never guessed that the 3x20 hood is the same as the 4x20 hood, though!

I know that there are components on my JD110 that can be cross-referenced to the 4x20 series tractor, too.

I tried JD parts but could not find the brush guard on JD parts... Oh well...

I looked and the wheel base of a 3720 is 68 inches. as 4250 is 71.5... I sure thought the 4x20 was a much bigger tractor. I assume the frames are different? There is 850 pounds differnce between tractors. I hope is in more places that just the axles.....

Then engine is gonna weigh significantly more... that's got to account for some of the weight difference.

Interesting...couldnt find it for the 300CX, but its listed on the 400CX listings.

The "Main Frame" of the guard (#1 in the pic above) is PN: AW32741 which is the same frame used on the 300CX.
Because the deluxe hood guard protects the same exact hood and mounts to the "main frame" of the base guard, I'd say with almost absoulte certianty your GTG:

Thanks dave. I do not know what I was doing wrong. I could not find that. I have a few months of waiting until the new tractor gets here.... So I will post back then when I try it out.

Pull it off anyway - if it fits install it. If not - sell it.

I find that size difference hard to believe also. The 3x20 seem so much smaller.
