I found a used Inland Steel and Forgings SA73 3 point snowblower near me and was wondering if my tractor would have enough power to run it. Looks like it is a fairly heavy duty unit and it is 6 ft wide about 32 inches tall for the inlet. Also does anyone know about how much one of these blowers weigh? Thanks

The rule of thumb is 5 hp for each foot of blower width. But that's just a guide. The tractor should handle it just fine - you may have to slow down from time to time though.

I run a 72" on mine. No problem at all. It weighs 700 plus.

I run a 74" Blizzard on my OLD 3054 with no issues; just have to go slow in the deep stuff

I'd say you'll have trouble in deeper snow or wet snow. I can bog my DK45 with 74" blower if I go fast enough in deep enough snow. Mine is a Roberge, heavy commercial blower and I believe it's closer to 1500#. Not sure a CK could handle a blower that heavy so I'd find out how much it weighs.

No problems I would think. Maybe you'll have to slow down a little in real deep real wet snow. On weight, It's not going to weigh more the 1700lbs lift capacity on your 3PTH:)

I have no trouble with a Meteor 75" pull-type that is 29" high on my DK35SE HST which has the same PTO HP rating as your CK35. My snowblower weighs 748 lbs. The Inland looks like it would be similar. Your CK35 is rated for 1764 lbs on the 3 point so it should handle it weight-wise, but as kiotiken says, check it out. You would want to leave the loader on for a counter balance. I was worried about the 75" on my DK35 but my dealer correctly said it would easily handle it (it is rated for 2383 lbs on the PTO). He ran the same 75" pull-type on a CK35.

The advantage of the HST is you can run it as slowly as required depending on snow conditions. My area's common snowfall is about 8" to 10" of wet, heavy snow. The tractor easily handles that at a fair (5-6 mph?) speed in medium range. This year we had a 24" dump of heavy, wet snow(record for this area since 1937). It easily handled that in low range and probably 2 to 3 mph. Here's a link to some photos of that:
