Will a 5\' brush-hog work on my B7500 ?????

I have a B7500 with a 4' brush-hog and I would like to upgrade to a 5' if it will handle it.My 4' hog works great and does'nt bog down the tractor at all. I want a 5' but I don't want to buy one and it not work so my question is will my B7500 handle it? Does anyone else have one on theirs and if so how well does it perform?

If you are just cutting tall grass... it would probably be just fine. But if you plan to use it for real brushhogging I would stick with the 4'. I have a 4' on my B7300 and it handles it pretty well depending on what I'm cutting. I have used is recently to cut some 1" saplings and such and it will do it but I'm going slow. As for overgrown grass/weeds, it'll cut without any real complaints.... but if I have a 5'.... I dought I could say the same thing.

BTW... you do have more HP than me... but not a big difference.

Donny,
I believe that You'll find the 60" brush Hog will work just fine . Mind, that You may have to go slower in the heavier stuff .But ,Your machine will handle it fine . John

When I went looking for a rotary cutter, I had a Deere 670. That tractor was pretty close to the B7500 (the 670 was a bit bigger then the Kubota though) as far as PTO power and lifting capacities. I was looking for a 48" cutter.
However, the Land Pride dealer (who was also a Kubota dealer) recommended a 60" cutter since they frequently sold the 60" units to B7500 owners.
Although a bit skeptical, I did buy the 60" cutter.
It worked great. I was going through brush that was as tall as the cowl of the 670 and sometimes taller. As a previous post stated, you may have to go pretty slow sometimes and you may have to make partial width passes sometimes, but I believe you'll find the 60" cutter will work fine with your B7500 as long as you use a modicum of common sense.
