I changed the oil in my Cub Cadet snow blower and realized I put 10w30 in instead of the 5w30.

I live in MD and the coldest we get is about 10 and that is on rare occasions. This past January we had the blizzard on the 20th and it was about 19.

I keep the blower in the garage, but it is not heated.

Should I have concern?

Concern yourself, not.

10-30 was the standard for all motors for many years. It might turn over a little slower in very cold temps, but it will work just fine.

As long as it starts fine, no worries, the 5 just allows for better cold weather oil flow. Allows the oil to flow faster during startup. I wouldn' worry about it if your storing in a attached garage. If you were in North Dakota and temps were -20 then may want 5w. Really not that big a difference anyway.

After the oil is at operating temperature it will basically perform the same; no difference between the two you mention.

I use 10w30 year round for all my OPE needs. Unless you are experiencing some very cold, and I mean VERY cold temps, 10w30 will work fine. I use it just fine into sub zero territory (into the minus teens) in the dead of winter with no issues. 10w30 is rated for -15F easily. And windchill only affects skin. Talking rated to -15F actual temp.

Except for the hassle of doing it 2x- that is what, a quart of oil wasted ! I've got to do my cub cadel snow blower this week. Just replaced a bent auger after watching you tube. Straightforward job. These are great snowblowers- easy to use. I'd change the oil and go with the label on the motor.
