I'll play the devil's advocate for you... here is what would be my estimate of a package price. I would have to add that I may be in for real sticker shock if I was to really go shopping, but anyway, here is where I would start as a "ballpark":

L3400 with LA463 loader - $16,400 DT or $17,300 HST
Woods BH80-X - $ 6,900
Forks - $ 600
Tiller - $ 1,300
Post Hole Digger - $ 600
20" trailer - $ 2,500

Total - $ 28,300DT or $29,200 HST

Tax need to be added depending on your rates.

I have a L3400 DT and if I had it to do over again I would go the extra for the HST.

Go for it., stay within budget and buy all the attachments you can up front. Then later you can buy more once she see how it hard you work on it .

Get the 12" PHD. I have a 9" and a 12" I use the 12" 95% of the time. Now I find if I need a 9" I just buy a extra bag of concrete instead of changing out the auger. The 12" gives the post wiggle room.

get it all, then once you start and finish all those honey do's , and you tell her we could do this if "I only had this piece of equipment" , she'll write the check for you.
Warning, you probably won't have to come up with projects and excuses for seat time, my wife developed quite the imagination on her own once she saw what could be done.

That's what happened to my neighbor. Got wifey's OK and bought a Kubota L4630/FEL with box blade, PHD, and 6-ft brush hog before you could say "big boy's toys".

Thanks for all the comments Guys. I'm trying to think what more I could slip in on the deal and not drive the note up toooooo much.

I told her that for our 35th aniversary coming May I would bring her to Branson Missouri for a vacation. Then I said on our 45th I would go pick her up. I'm trying to make all the points I can.
