Wichita Sam now owns a 214 Lawn Tractor

Hi all,

I'm a new retiree living in Springfield, MO with my wife. We chose Springfield to be close to our 2 youngest daughters and grandchildren. Just today, I rescued a 214 Lawn Tractor from a farmer's pasture where it was mowing about 10 acres for the last 5 years. It seems in good order, needs a belt, new blades and some cosmetics. Seemed like a no brainer at $300. It came with a new battery and a strong Kohler engine. I'm looking forward to giving the old gal a fresh look and whatever she needs to have a longer and better life.

Got the 214 ship shape and mowing. Maintenance, cosmetics, a belt and a little elbow grease and she mowed like a champ. Probably rushed the season by a week, but had a new toy.
