Why won't most attachments work with a 2008 LT1050?

I'm trying to find a snow plow blade for my little LT1050. However, all the accessories I can find claim to require a 2009 or newer LT1000/1500 series tractor. Unfortunately, I have a 2008 LT1050. Any idea what the difference between mine and the 2009s is? I'd like to know if it's a major change or just a matter of me drilling a hole.

I believe that is the year MTD changed the quick mount setup on the mowers. I also believe there is a retrofit kit available for the 2008 and before. Installed a snow plow on a customer Yard Machine last year, had to add the mounting kit in order to install the new style snow plow

How did you find out you needed the retrofit kit and what was the part number?

From what I can tell you may already by set up for fastattach. Do you have a shoulder bolt on both sides, in front of the axle, near the bottom of the frame, that sticks out about 3/4 inch. If so then all you have to do to put the OPE-190-833c plow on is just attach it after assembly. Some of the mowers don't have the shoulder bolt attached, but the frame is set up for the bolt. It looks like mtd went to fastattach around 2001 or so.
