Why, oh WHY, do I go to the Agricultural Show!?

Every year I go to my State Field Day (AGFEST) and every year I come home with stuff & gadgets that I never knew I needed until I saw them being demonstrated.

So this year I was smart and brought a Mate along with me to be my wallet-minder. Well, a fat lot of good that did me as he encouraged me to get even MORE 'needful' stuff & gadgets... so that he could borrow them from me later on. :laughing:

I'm absolutely sure that next year I'll be safe as there can't possibly be any more new things I need!

Right?

My wife always says "There is always room for one more." Of course she is talking about getting stuff in the fridge, but I think it applies here too. I just found a welder I had 25 yers ago and had put in storage. An old AC lincolin buzz box but I still need at lest one more.

I've always been lucky in that regard. The entrance fee has always been a lot more than I want to pay. However, that never stops me from my spring visits to all the area tractor dealerships. Just to be safe - I always go in the Jeep, never the pickup.

G'day Steve! I don't know about photos as my camera takes them in a 'too large for TBN' format. (personally, I think it's a conspiracy as I've got a multitude of pallet photos to share! But I digress...)

Gadget wise;

I got a 'Spring Grip Wire Strainer' Spring Grip Wire Strainers
I believe that this strainer is darn-near "Randy/Wagtail PROOF" (which is one grade higher than "Idiot Proof"). My Mate, Dougie, really encouraged me to invest is this.

I purchased a set of 'Super Wrenches' Set of 4 Tool and 14&18 inch Super Wrench Set (free cases) - 36 Boombox for all the reasons a blokes ego encourages him to have tools with "super" capabilities. Dougie was nodding with gusto and giving me two BIG thumbs up.

And, what with a recent TBN thread on drill-bit sharpeners (with heavy bias towards 'Drill Doctor') I picked up the 'Pro' version of the 'Vintek drill-bit sharpener' https://www.pitchi.com/pitchi/drill-bit-sharperner/10915 which was A$30 off the regular price, came with a spare stone & stone-levelling device AND the carry-case also had a free handle! By this point, Dougie was reaching for my wallet himself.

My birthday is coming up on the 14th of this month. I don't have a need for a wire strainer, but either a set of wrenches or a drill-bit sharpener would be a nice gift. You should be able to arrange delivery to me by the 14th if you use priority air shipment.

TBN raised the size limit back to 10 MB, but it is easy to resize them smaller. The camera can also be set to take smaller internet friendly pictures.
