Many of the zero turn mowers all use comparable engines and hydro units so a lot of the parts by function are nearly interchangable.
Ride comfort is going to be the biggest reason of one over the other! We do have people swapping to the suspension to enjoy their mower time more. The other reason on the suspension is to increase the ground speed comfortably.
