very frustrating, putting G rated, This just happened again to me. After typing a long well edited response post, I sometimes get this error message. and loose the post, I'm constantly getting logged out even on short responses but it just tells me to log in again, no biggie but losing a long response is !@#$%^&*&^%$#@! sorry I couldn't keep it in!

This is the message I get, when I push the back arrow it just comes up again and again, if I push it twice in a row it goes back to log in and back to the blank reply page and the post is gone for ever!!!
How to prevent this, it really cause a great deal of anxiety for me on a long reply as I'm a slow typer/editor and can't just redo what was lost.

"Your submission could not be processed because you have logged in since the previous page was loaded.

Please push the back button and reload the previous window."

it comes in a caption box, I cut and pasted it here.

when i type a lengthy message, i hit control A and then control C.......then i hit post message.......that way if i'm logged out or there is an error, i can just start a new message and paste it again quickly.......

i still forget from time to time......i get mad too!

I copy the text and paste it into Word (for spell checking). I do not copy from Word to paste into the edit box since some cliches popup. This way serves as a backup copy.

Backspace in the browser is the same as "back arrow". And you never want to hit that... BUT if you are actually in Edit mode; you should be able to use the Backspace to delete characters (I know, I use it a LOT). When exactly is this happening? and what Browser are you using? I press the "Preview Post" button a couple times as I'm typing to proof read as I type.

(after edit) I just backed up through my (several) changes in edit mode and was also able to go back and forward to see the several re-visions... and no problems. So my guess is it might be the browser that you are using.

Sometimes i type my reply on an E-Mail and send it to myself.
Then I open the e-mail and copy and past it to the reply.
This way if something like you describe happens I still have a copy of what i typed in my e-mail.

My browser is the latest IE version I'm pretty sure, how to check what version?

So I should hit the back space button instead of clicking the back arrow? when I get that message.

At least now I know a few ways to back up what I'm doing,

what exactly does that control A and C do?

Thanks Everyone, JB.

"Ctrl + A" = Select All (everything gets highlighted)
"Ctrl + C" = Copy to clipboard (a majical place inside the computer memory)
"Ctrl + V" = Paste (takes what was in the computer memory and puts in where your curser is at the time you press it.)
"Ctrl + X" = Cut (deletes the original but does store the info. in the computer memory)

Browser are changing and the "look" of them can be modified but if you can Open the browser and find/click on the "Help" button and scroll down the menu, it should state/post the version there. The backspace and back button should not be doing what you say... I think when you get that "message", it's too late to do much to save the typing you did.

Let me try and get this straight.... you are trying away with a reply and you make a mistake and you press the backspace key... then you get this message? or what exactly happens right before you get the message?

control A= select all
control C= copy (what you selected)
control V= pastes it into whatever; word document, email, or another tractor by net message

if you only want to select a certain part, just place your cursor over it, click your left mouse button (hold it clicked/down) and then drag your mouse over what you want to "select" then do the copy and paste routine....

when you reply to this typw up your reply, but before you hit the submit reply button, click "control A".........then hit "control C"...........then hit the "Back" button to lose your reply (just like you might do on accident)......now you just lost your reply

now, "reply" to this thread again..........when the window pops up with a blank reply box, place your cursor/mouse in it, click one time with your left mouse key then hit "control V" to paste it....

whallah.....great stress reliever!

Good grief. Much easier to select the text and copy it to the clipboard.

It happens when I click submit reply, many times it asks me to log in with no loss of my work but sometimes on longer replies after I try and log in that message comes up.
I do have version 7 of IE

So clip board is not something you can open and view, only used for that single task one at a time?

I use to say I was computer illiterate but now after 8 years I can't really use that excuse, I do know how to cut and paste, this sounds the same except with ctr A it selects all.

I just saved this post to a new text document in a folder on my desk top using the control comands.

OK I'll try it,

Yup, worked like a charm.

At first when I tried it, didn't work but then I realized I didn't have the cursor blinking.
So you can keep pasting the same thing over and over again until you save something else new to clip board, will it clear only when you restart?

This next paragraph is what I saved from the previous post to a new text doc in a folder on my desktop, looks good, didn't know how it would come out back on this reply page since the text is odd on the new text doc page.

just pasted it here;
