Why are the best deals so far away?

I sold my tractor and a couple of other things and now I have $20-22k burning a hole in my pocket. I'm ready to buy used and there's nothing in my area that I'm interested in. I'm looking for a L4240hst or L4740hst. I have found a few possibilities but they are over 500 miles away. Same thing happened when I bought my last tractor in February, I had to drive 700 miles to get it. Does this happen to you also? This thread does not apply to you JOHNTHOMAS, we know how far you have to travel, lol.

I think that most of us have experienced similar situations. Being in the right place at the right time doesn't happen very often. At least this has been my experience. Best wishes.

This should be much closer. I've not been, but a lot of the folks around here go fairly frequently. If you're interested, keep an eye on their monthly auctions.

ricklman thanks for the link and the compliment. Looks like I just missed the last auction and the next is not for a month. My wife and I rode our goldwing up in your area last October. Stayed at Queen Wilhelmina SP. Beautiful country. Left there and went up to Rogers.

I Googled "Used Kubota Dealers Arkansas" and came up with this also: Fiser Kubota
I have no idea about them, but they mention "excellent pre-owned equipment, implements"

Hang in there, I'll betcha we can find you some hardware a lot closer to home. :drink:
