Who owns a Landpride Treker?

I am killing time until I am physically able to demo these machines but I am curious as to who owns or use to own a Treker. What did you guys use them for and how did you like it?

My Treker dealer is a great dealership and I try to give them a lot of business. I have not ruled out other brands but my main criteria right now is that it has a bench seat. So all I care about in this thread is just the pros and cons of the Treker as I just read the literature again and Landpride does a great job of promoting their machines.

My friend uses his to go everywhere.
He isn't 1st to show up.

His Treker has been everywhere my xuv and rhino have.

For the money, I think they are a good deal..
Ride is ok and I believe top and windshield come standard..

I have been concentrating on the 20 series which has a 30mph top speed. I would like faster but then again unless I go with the Polaris it seems most of these units are topped out at 25-30 mph

My uses will find it on road going from farm to farm so that is where I wanted the top end speed. On the other hand it is faster then my tractors still so I will get there faster but who knows how much tweaking can be done to these machines.

With your back, I'd consider ride over speed. Smooth and soft would be number one for me anyway. Speed never seems to be much of a factor.

I don't know anything about the Trecker, but do have three Land Pride Impliments. On my 6ft rotary cutter, the gear box started to make a whining noise. It was full of oil, so I don't really know what caused it besides over use. It had a 3 year warrantee on it and it was just over 2 years old, so I went to me dealer and told him what was going on. He said to keep using it and he'd get me a new gear box. I checked in with him the following week and no gearbox. The week after, no gear box. After a month, he said to bring in the mower and he'd pull a gear box off of a mower he had in stock.

I don't know if this was Landpride or my dealer who caused the delays. My dealer is a great guy, but it's not at all uncommon for him to say he'll do something, then get sidetracked. But it took so long that I'm not sure what the cause was.

When I bought new blades for my 7ft finish mower, I went to my dealer to see if he had them. He didn't, but said he could order them. I didn't want to play that game with him, so I went to Kubota, who just started a partnership with Landpride. They ordered the blades and had them in several days later.

I don't know if this helps any or not, but if I was to buy new impliments again, I don't think I'd buy Landpride. They are pretty good, but I think there is better out there.

Good morning Eddie,

If I think the Treker looks like it is a leading canidate for purchase I will contact some of the other Treker owners who bought from this dealer and ask them about parts support. This dealer is good about support but if the factory is slow then that will be a problem.

As for the speed thing, the land I farm is spread out across the town of Sheridan. Depending on what I am doing I will be traveling up to 3 miles on the road between fields so this is where I would want more top end speed. Our roads are very nice and are not worn out and rough so the ride will be smooth. In the field I have no need to go fast, only between fields. I think 30mph will be enough but I would like 35.

The Treker is a nice machine for the money. A great gas utv in lieu of a diesel. The Treker will go anywhere any of the other machines will go and does have some decent speed with some possible tweaks available to get a little more. I have seen the Treker go into some amazing places and it seems to be a good value for what you get.
