Who is Behind the Curtain Building Compact Tractors for Other Brands?

I'm curious and just want to start the conversation. I'll start it off with I think I know:

Regarding Daedong, they certainly make both the Kioti and Bobcat line of tractors, with the Bobcat Corporation requesting some proprietary tractor design changes unique to their equipment business. I have read several reports, that when the Bobcat tractors reach 140,000 units sold per year, they will build a US manufacturing plant and make their tractors in house. So far that has not occurred. Until then, there is a close working relationship between Kioti and Bobcat that benefits both corporations.

Regarding Yanmar, what may surprise many, is that fully 90% of the Yanmar diesel engines manufactured, are used in backup diesel generators by many businesses and shopping malls throughout Asia. They are considered highly reliable and indestructible diesel engines.

Kioti to introduce CTLs and skid steers to dealers in 2021

Kioti, the Daedong-owned brand that’s long been a fixture in the hobby farmer market with its compact utility tractors, says it will introduce a Kioti-made compact track loader and skid steer to its dealers in 2021. Production will likely start in 2022.


Although details are few and all specs are preliminary, the 74-horsepower compact track loader and skid steer will be positioned mid-range in both markets.


Kioti says its TL750 CTL will likely feature electro-hydraulic controls, a sliding entry door that lifts up instead of swinging open and 15.7-inch tracks.

Yanmar markes their own tractors some in Japan &
also Alanta, Georgia for the U.S.
Yanmar still makes diesel engines for over 75 different
tractors plus ships, construction equipment etc.
We have a Yanmar diesel generator 5700 watt. Looked
at a lot of gas generators but gas don't last any where
near the life of diesel fuel and when you need power
more than likely gas stations will be in the dark also!

While TYM does own Kukje (Branson's parent company), they still work pretty much as a standalone company.

With that being said, Kukje makes tractors for Mccormick, Bad Boy, Shibaura, IRUM, Ursus and Carraro. They also make the JD 6R, 6M and 6E Series, although most people may argue right away that those are for the Asian market, no one really knows for sure.

I have been around Yanmars all my life and always found them to be very clackity and loud, albeit durable, compared to others.

Tractor Time With Tim has a pretty good video where he toured the JD factory in Georgia, where there smaller tractors are made. I think but am not sure the 1, 2, 3 series tractors are made. The engines are Yanmar but the tractor is “made“ here. Who knows where all the parts come from. I know I was surprised the hydrostat transmission was built in the US.

I like the fact stuff is built in the US but it really isn’t a huge factor for me. For example Kubota puts there small tractors in Georgia also. It’s tough to know how U.S. made something is.

Seems to be easy enough to find out by looking at the builders plate...don't know about Europe, but all the 6s I've seen in the US were made in USA, Germany, or Mexico.
