Who can afford a new Kubota anymore? :D

I don't know why anyone would buy one of those new tractors with Tier IV emissions. I'm going to keep my horse until I see that tractors really work out in the industry.

My heading may have been misleading. According to a mechanic I know who works on small tractors, Kubota is the best value out there. I would love to have a new L3200, just don't want to go into debt for a tractor at this point. (Although in hindsight, I would have been better off to buy new 13 years ago, even though it would have meant borrowing 1/2 the money.)

I recently bought a new Kubota L3800. However, I think it will be the last "new" tractor I buy. I picked up one of those equipment sale/auction magazines (don't remember which one but it was the southern region TX, OK, KS etc.) the other week and was amazed at how low some of the prices can be for machines with only a few hundred hours. Especially in the 50- 100hp range.

If I was looking for a utility tractor (50- 100hp), I'd look at some of the used ones.

I'm hoping to buy a slightly used cab tractor in the next year or two, once I pay off my truck. I do not see any advantage to buying new, or getting one with all the new smog equipment on it. Like mentioned above, I look through a variety of sources that list used tractors online with prices that are very attractive. My biggest decision will be on brand, there are quite a few good ones out there to choose from!!!

This is my favorite local site to follow prices and day dream.

I was just at a training class for the new M7 tractors. The suggested retail for the new M7 171 KVT premium is $165k without the loader. Expense is relative.
