Which ZTR?

Looking at getting a 60" cut Zero turn lawnmower. Looked at a JD Z520. I'd like to get into a commercial grade mower if possible. The JD is their most reasonable, but it's gonna run around $7,000. Wondering on opinions if I should be considering another brand for this price or possibly a little less. Thanks.

I have a Hustler Super Z 60" with a Kohler 27hp and absolutely love it. It is one well built machine and easy to maintain. I bought mine for $5600 with 52 hours on it. It was a year old and great condition. I think a low hour used ZTR is the way to go. ZTR's seem to lose value quicker than a traditional tractor and I'm not really sure why. I think mine was retailed at around $10k new. If I was to do it again I would probably get a smaller engine (24hp). Mine is way more than what is necessary unless you really want to cut grass at 15 mph. One big thing I look at is deck construction. Stamped decks are more susceptible to getting bent if you hit something and you will eventually. I personally like a welded deck and overall machine quality tends to match.
